By now, everyone has heard of affiliate marketing with its laptop lifestyle, unparalleled freedom, and massive opportunity. As a business model, it is beautiful, and as a result, many have jumped into a program without deeply researching or comparing it to other programs available.
As a remedy, I will review many affiliate programs to help you decide on the right one. I’ll start with Matt Diggity and The Affiliate Lab.
Affiliate Lab, created by Matt Diggity, is a comprehensive training course designed for affiliate marketers who want to excel in high-competition niches and may have their sights set on flipping websites. This review explores the key aspects and benefits of the course, helping you decide if it’s the right fit for you.
No one has anything negative to say about The Affiliate Lab. There are always those who complain about content being rehashed information you can find for free, or I couldn’t get my money back kind of stuff, but all things considered, The Affiliate Lab is a stand-up course run by a stand-up crew. I give it a 4-out-of-5 rating instead of 5-out-of-5 for a few reasons. Read on.
Matt Diggity is a prominent digital marketing and SEO figure with over 15 years of experience.
Matt founded Diggity Marketing, where he focuses on results-based SEO techniques. His approach is practical and test-driven, emphasizing real-world outcomes over theoretical concepts. As a former electrical engineer, precision is part of his skill set.
Matt also provides SEO coaching and consulting services, specializing in high-competition affiliate marketing and local SEO. His portfolio boasts over 200 first-page, high-traffic websites. He is also the CEO of Leadspring, an affiliate SEO company. He combines practical expertise with a results-oriented approach, making him a trusted resource in the SEO community.
Overview of The Affiliate Lab
Affiliate Lab is structured to guide marketers through ranking, monetizing, and flipping affiliate websites. It’s tailored for those looking to deepen their SEO knowledge and apply practical strategies for significant growth and profits.
Like most ‘how to make money online’ businesses, Affiliate Lab offers tips and tricks that no one else has. One of these is Grey Hat tactics. Grey hat tactics are typically SEO practices that are morally ambiguous but legal. Since everyone’s moral ceiling is at varying heights, you must decide what you will do.
Please note that grey hat and black hat are not the same. I’m sorry if I’m dwelling on this; you might find this interesting.
White Hat SEO involves following ethical guidelines and best practices set by search engines. It focuses on long-term growth, quality content, and user experience. Examples of white hat tactics include creating high-quality content, optimizing meta tags, building natural backlinks, and improving site speed.
On the other hand, Black Hat SEO employs risky and manipulative tactics to achieve quick results. It often violates search engine guidelines and can lead to penalties. Examples of black hat tactics include keyword stuffing, cloaking, link schemes, and hidden text.
And then there’s Gray Hat SEO, which lies between white and black hat tactics. Gray hat practitioners use creative techniques that may be borderline ethical.
Along with Matt Diggity, The Affiliate Lab Trainers include Jay Yap. Matt refers to Jay as the Hand of the King. There are also guest presenters for some of the training modules
Course Content and Structure
The course includes over 100 hours of training through 320+ videos, templates, and checklists. The content covers:
- Niche Selection: Identifying profitable niches
- Keyword Research: Advanced techniques for finding high-traffic keywords
- Content Creation: Crafting content that ranks and converts
- SEO Strategies: Proven methods for on-page and off-page SEO
- Website Flipping: How to sell profitable websites for maximum returns
As you can see, there’s nothing new here. The big difference between Affiliate Lab’s teaching and other courses is site flipping. The philosophy here is to build a site to a level where it makes enough money to be super attractive to a buyer.
Key Features
- Members-only Facebook Group: A platform for networking, support, and sharing experiences
- Advanced SEO Tactics: Strategies based on tested and proven results
- Masterclasses: In-depth sessions on conversion optimization, featured snippets, authority building, and website flipping
Benefits
Affiliate Lab offers a comprehensive and up-to-date training program that provides lifetime access with a one-time fee. The strategies are practical and actionable, supported by a community of like-minded individuals.
The ranking is purported to be higher than that of white-hat practitioners through technical SEO manipulation and private blog networks.
A private blog network (PBN) is a group of websites that exists solely to provide backlinks to another website, aiming to enhance its Google search rankings. You can see where the grey hat comes into play here.
Pricing
The course requires a one-time payment for lifetime access, which, although higher initially, provides continuous value with ongoing updates and support. The current price is $997.00, or two payments of $597.00. There is a 30-day no-questions money-back guarantee, but there are no refunds after that. Also, after the initial buying price, additional tools are extra and can cost hundreds per month.
I believe this is a massive con (as in pros and cons). In my summation, I’ll tell you what I think is better.
User Experience
The course platform is user-friendly, with high-quality video content and clear instructions. User feedback highlights the effectiveness of the strategies taught and the supportive community environment.
eBiz Facts gives it a 4.7 rating out of 5. The only real complaint I read was that the window for making money was unrealistic. The user was disappointed that he wasn’t in the money in 90 days and felt that there was nothing exceptional about the course.
The Community is a Facebook group. One user (Kristian Larsen) said it is responsive and quick, with many members engaged at all hours of the day.
There are primary and bonus modules offered in this course, and they are:
- Affiliate Lab
- Website flipping
- Beginners Lab
- Checklists and SOPs (standard operating procedures)
- The Truth About Penalties
- Outreach
- Affiliate Email Marketing
- The Affiliate Portfolio Playbook
- Optimize Your Life
- SEO Testing
- The Content Scaling Playbook
- Topical Authority
- 301 Redirect Mastery
- AI Content Generation Playbook
Most of the modules are self-explanatory, so I won’t go into detail here, as we would be here all day. One comment I will make is that the course is comprehensive.

My Opinion In Summation
Affiliate Lab offers a detailed training program for affiliate marketers looking to master SEO, high-competition niches, and site flipping. Its comprehensive content and lifetime access make it a valuable investment for serious marketers. However, it dabbles in areas that some consider morally ambiguous, which may be off-putting to some people.
I am always frightened by a high buy-in without a long-term guarantee. Thirty days is enough time to decide if something is right for you, but only if you can dig into a program enough to “get it.” Most affiliate marketers start with it as a side gig, not full-time, so thirty days can quickly escape a busy person.
Some videos have been reported to be dated and of questionable quality. This is not a deal breaker since training is training, not Disney.
You don’t get to try it before you buy it. Hmm, I want to drive a car before I buy it. Why no test drive? That always concerns me, too, when it comes to online business.
Would I buy it? I wouldn’t because I am doing business elsewhere. Should you buy it? If you can easily afford the initial outlay and add-ons later, sure.
Please compare what I think might be a better choice for you and you’ll see why I give The Affiliate Lab a 4-out-of-5 rating:

My rating for Wealthy Affiliate is 5-out-of-5 for the following reasons: The community is unmatched with its constant feedback and access to the business’s CEOs. Answers are given in minutes if not seconds. The chat is 24/7. Training is up to date and updated regularly, including AI technology. The entry price is incredibly low compared to the value of the training.
Please don’t take my word for it. Seeing is believing.
A Little About Me
Hi! My name is Dave Hornbeck. I’ve been successfully doing affiliate marketing at Wealthy Affiliate, using white-hat techniques for a few years. What I like about Wealthy Affiliate is that you can try it for free to see if you like it. If you do, the buy-in is $49/month with no add-ons needed. The training is comprehensive, and there is no match for the community engagement you’ll find there on any other platform. They have you covered.
