Hi, I’m Dave, the face behind Your Turn Marketing.
I’ve been working since I was a boy. From picking wild blackberries as a kid to running a small industrial plant today, at 63 years of age, I’ve been working for at least 54 of those years.
You could say I’ve done okay. I don’t complain, and I’m grateful for what I have: a nice little home for my dog and me and a healthy son who is off on his own life journey now.
As I approach the end of my job life, I find that there are at least two things that I want to make sure I have in my retirement:
- Engagement with other people so that my mind stays sharp and I stay somewhat relevant and
- Enough money to do what I want without worrying about when my pension and SS checks will roll in.
I don’t think I’m alone in these desires.
That is why I created Your Turn Marketing at yourturnmarketing.com. I believe many guys and gals in exactly the same type of space I’m in want to do more than vegetate in their homes, waiting for life to ebb away.
Heck, I want to have fun in retirement! I’ve worked for too long and too hard to call it quits. It’s my turn now, and I want it to be your turn, too.
My mission is to help affiliate marketers succeed online for a few reasons. If I can help you make enough money, there will be big kids like me out there who I can play with.

My journey in affiliate marketing over the past four years has had its ups and downs. At times, I thought I wasn’t good enough to be successful in affiliate marketing, but the great people at Wealthy Affiliate, where I learned how to do it right, assured me that I was, and guess what? They were right.
The skills and insights I’ve gained from SEO to website management have astounded me. I don’t have a background in marketing of any kind. I certainly didn’t know the ins and outs of running a successful website until I took a leap of faith and landed in a great place.
Now, helping others achieve success in affiliate marketing has become my passion. Nothing gives me more pleasure than when a beginner asks for help solving a problem, and I can give them the answer. They didn’t know, then they knew, now they can pass it on. Do you see? It’s a wonderful business to be in.
Life Beyond the Links – A Glimpse Into My Personal World
Life after my son spread his wings has been spent dedicating time to personal interests. I call my little chunk of America Lone Raven Farm. Upon my farm I have as company a big old pitbull named Chip. He is a great pal. I also keep chickens.
My canine companion and backyard chickens bring joy to my everyday life. Chip accompanies me on long walks, which helps keep me in shape, and my chickens give me lovely brown, blue, and green eggs every day.
I give my eggs away, though some insist on tipping me to help fund my chicken feed needs. It all works as far as I’m concerned. I guess I’m what you would call a giver.
The significance of Wealthy Affiliate in my personal and professional growth can not be overstated. I have learned how to market to customers, and my cognitive abilities have never seemed as sharp as they are now. My communication skills have improved immensely.
